Fast Life

As much as I long to see your face,
You're locked away in that place.
For what you've done in your past
Sentenced to years, for living fast.
You should have known that life won't last.
I feel lost without him in my life.
I don't understand why it has to be this way.
This man was my dad and his decisions were bad
To think about it, really makes me quite sad.
My mom is only one person, who
Takes care of more than me and my two brothers.
It seems like everyone leans on her,
But to lean, she has no other.
Dad, why did you leave us in a position like this?
You left us without sending any help our way.
That you'll soon grow up, is all that I pray.

Puddles

Puddles

When I look outside
After it has rained,
Cars pass through puddles
Making little waves.
I enjoy watching the birds bathe
As they fluff their feathers
And stomp their feet,
One little birdy
Stops to look at me.

Young Poetess Leilani

A young poetess by
the name Leilani...

She writes about real
life. She writes of
love. She writes from the heart.

This little girl is not afraid to hit the stage and tell you what she believes in!
She thinks before she speaks, and competes for her title: A Princess Poetess.

So far, she has won the hearts of many, and at the age of 7 years old, Leilani has already been featured on 3 Blog Talk Radio shows.

She co hosts with Lady Blue @ www.blogtalkradio.com/lynnblue on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Leilani has won the poetry competition at
Village in Verse in Punta Gorda with her poem titled "Builders".

Leilani has written and read a poem for President Obama's Birthday at the local Democrat Club on August 4th, 2010...

Leilani has even been dubbed a Young Democrat and attends weekly meetings to take action in her community.

Most recently, Princess Poetess Leilani has begun to attend Peace River Writer's Organization Open Mics with her Mother, Kahala Lei and performs, does the photography and charms all in attendance.

To have Leilani for a daughter is a dream come true for Kahala Lei.

She even leaves stuff like this on Mommy's computer screen!!!
